Nexus Anima Tier List
All Nexus Anima and Eidos ranked by tier and combat Trait, from Meta Picks down to Unrated, with filters for rarity and Aspect and notes on every top pick.
Last updated 2026-08-29
Our 6 Meta Picks are Camcorgi, Framamba, Starspine, Cinechel, Dragamour and Herocrates. Below them sit 16 units at S, 30 at A, 20 at B, and 23 left Unrated, across 95 rated Nexus Anima and Eidos in total.
Tiers run down the side and combat Traits run across the top, so you can read the table the way you actually build a team: pick the slot you need to fill, then take the best thing in that column you own. Playable Eidos get a column of their own on the right, because they bond with Anima rather than competing with them for a board position. When you have a shortlist, take it to the team builder and check the Aspect synergy thresholds before you commit resources.

Not yet placed Scorscythe, Petrilog, Moneytree have no confirmed Trait or kit yet, so there is no column to put them in. They are on the page rather than quietly dropped, and they will be rated once the game tells us what they do.
The Meta Picks, and why
6 units

Camcorgi
5-star · Memory · Blaster
The most complete unit in the game right now. Cheese! freeze-frames a whole fan-shaped area and then guarantees critical hits into anything caught in it, so Camcorgi is a control tool and a damage dealer in one slot. Its passive refunds energy whenever any opponent on the field is controlled, which means it accelerates itself off a teammate's crowd control as well as its own. Memory is also the deepest Aspect on the roster, so it never costs you a team.

Framamba
4-star · Memory · Blaster
Our promotion, and the reason is the pairing rather than the unit alone. Focus is a hard single-target hit that also hands the whole row 30 percent more basic-attack damage and 30 percent more attack speed, so Framamba is a Blaster and a row buffer at once. It is also Shilian's bonded Anima, which puts the cheapest real Memory core in the game at four stars: Camcorgi, Framamba, Shilian, and Herocrates when you get him.

Starspine
4-star · Light · Mastermind
A 4-star that behaves like a 5-star. Each Starlight strips Armor and MR, the reduction stacks, and it lasts until the end of the battle, so Starspine gets stronger the longer a fight runs and it makes everyone else's damage land harder. Light only asks for two units to turn on, and Starspine is easy to raise, which is why it is the single best early investment on the list.

Cinechel
5-star · Memory · Protector
The front line the rest of the list is balanced against. Rewind heals off the damage Cinechel just took plus a flat share of its own max health, so it gets more value the harder it is hit, and it exits the skill by shredding armour in a two-hex radius. Pairing it with Camcorgi covers tanking, shredding and control in two slots and leaves the third free.

Dragamour
5-star · Love · Mascot
The best flexible fifth slot. Heart's Benediction runs on Charge instead of energy and alternates between support waves, which heal and end in a team shield plus attack speed, and damage waves, which end in Armor and MR shred. That means Dragamour is never a dead pick: it bends toward whatever the rest of the team is short of, and it is bulky enough to hold a front-row position while it does.

Herocrates
5-star · Memory · Eidos
The Eidos we would build a first account around. His ultimate costs 210 energy, the cheapest of any 5-star Eidos in the game, so his cycle comes online faster than the Novarchs do. He is bonded to Camcorgi, which is already the strongest Anima on the list, and he sits in Memory, which has more usable bodies than any other Aspect. Cost, pairing and Aspect depth all point the same way.
How this list is weighted
This list weights versatility over ceiling. On a new account the binding constraint is not how hard a unit can hit, it is how many teams that unit is allowed to be in, and the 5-star Eidos pool is shallow enough that a unit needing a purpose-built roster is a unit you cannot field yet.
So a unit climbs on three things: whether its kit does more than one job, whether its Aspect has enough other usable bodies to hit a synergy threshold, and whether an Eidos exists to support it. That last one is why a 5-star can sit at B here. Umpurrella is a strong Mastermind whose Aspect has no 5-star Eidos and nothing above B to pair with, and Chowpownd is a 5-star Protector in an Aspect with no Eidos at all.
The same logic cuts the other way and is why two 4-stars are Meta Picks. Read the tiers as answers to different questions. Meta Picks fit almost any roster. S either fills a niche outstandingly or anchors a specific meta team, and your strategy tends to get built around it. A is genuinely playable with a real role. B works but lacks Aspect depth or Eidos support, or is simply outclassed in its own role. Unrated is mostly 3-star filler for reaching a synergy count.
If you are still deciding what to chase, the Evolution Test guides cover progression order, and each unit's dex page carries its full kit, its four Dispositions, and what each Rapport rank adds. A tier is a starting point, not a build: the Disposition you leave switched on moves a unit more than a rung on this list does.
Tier list questions
- What are the best units in Honkai: Nexus Anima?
- Our Meta Picks are Camcorgi, Framamba, Starspine, Cinechel, Dragamour and Herocrates. They are the units whose kits fit the largest number of rosters, which matters more than raw numbers while your resources are thin.
- What does Meta Pick mean on this tier list?
- A Meta Pick is a unit with enough utility, or enough flexibility, to slot into most team compositions rather than one. It is a versatility rating, not a damage ranking, so a 4-star can outrank a 5-star here and two of ours do.
- Are Unrated units bad?
- Unrated is not the same as unplayable. The 23 units in that row are mostly 3-stars that exist to fill an Aspect-synergy count while you work toward better bodies, which is a real job on an early account.
- Why are Eidos ranked in their own column?
- Eidos are the playable characters who bond with Anima, so they do not have a combat Trait and cannot be compared column for column against a Blaster or a Protector. They get their own column and are ranked against each other.
- How often does this tier list change?
- It moves when the game does. Honkai: Nexus Anima is still in closed beta, so kits and numbers are being tuned between tests, and a placement here is our current read rather than a settled community consensus.
