Heartcease

Heartcease pines for its crush from a safe distance, too bashful to make a move, but its obvious blush gives its feelings away every time.

Heartcease Anidex entry

Don't be fooled by its delicate exterior. Heartcease can brave any wilderness on its own. The landscape of the heart, however, is another story. Love is a puzzle it can't solve, leaving it to second-guess every step. It's scared of scaring someone off with its fiery affection, but even more scared that once it feels a real connection, being alone again will completely break it. It fears that, in the end, its deepest love may give rise to hatred. It worries that it has lost the beat in the dance called "love," even as the electrocardiogram in its chest surges in violent peaks and dips. The only hope to reach it... is a love that breaks the pattern, a love that arrives like an unforeseen ship, promising passage from the wilderness of its own heart.

Dispositions

Heartcease carries these four. Exactly one runs at a time, so this is the one thing about it you choose rather than roll for. What the rest of the roster carries is on the Dispositions reference.

Rapport ranks

Duplicate copies of Heartcease raise its Rapport rank, and each rank changes its signature skill. The ladder is not evenly weighted: ranks 1 and 4 scale numbers that are already there, ranks 3 and 5 are a flat stat bump and nothing else, and ranks 2 and 6 are where the skill actually gains something new. Those two are the ones worth pulling for.
