Starspine

Starspine's crystalline spine channels a Light Aspect, and as a Mastermind it prefers to control the back row rather than take hits directly.

Where to find Starspine

From the in-game clue hints and what townspeople say about where they met theirs. Theexploration guide covers the map itself.

Starspine Anidex entry

Unable to freely dim the starlight glowing from its body, Starspine is a chronic insomniac. It dreads encountering humans or other Anima at night, fearing its light will disturb them. So it tiptoes through the world with endless caution. Thus, when Bobabirb proposes forming an "Insomniac Alliance," Starspine secretly rejoices. Deep in the quiet night, as Bobabirb finally sinks into sound sleep, Starspine carefully shuffles a little farther away. It knows its stars won't prick or sting, yet still it fears being a burden. That small gap is Starspine's own small gift of gentleness.

Dispositions

Starspine carries these four. Exactly one runs at a time, so this is the one thing about it you choose rather than roll for. What the rest of the roster carries is on the Dispositions reference.

Rapport ranks

Duplicate copies of Starspine raise its Rapport rank, and each rank changes its signature skill. The ladder is not evenly weighted: ranks 1 and 4 scale numbers that are already there, ranks 3 and 5 are a flat stat bump and nothing else, and ranks 2 and 6 are where the skill actually gains something new. Those two are the ones worth pulling for.
