HoYoverse has set the dates for the Honkai: Nexus Anima **Evolution Test**, the next closed beta for its creature-collecting auto-chess game. The test begins **July 9, 2026** on **PC, iOS, and Android**, and follows nearly a year of refinement since the previous test.

## Key dates

* **Sign-ups:** June 22 – **July 3, 2026**, via the official site.
* **Test starts:** **July 9, 2026**.
* **Platforms:** PC (Windows), iOS, and Android.
* **Progress:** the test runs for a limited time and ends with a **data wipe** — nothing carries over to launch.

## What’s new in this test

HoYoverse describes the Evolution Test as expanding the previous beta with additional core gameplay and narrative content — **new characters, new Anima, new regions, and new gameplay systems**. Expect more of the formation-based “auto-chess” battles, Anima catching across the Planes, and the Eidos roster the game has been revealing.

## How to opt in

Registration runs through the [official Honkai: Nexus Anima site](https://hna.hoyoverse.com/) via a short eligibility survey (region and device details). Sign-ups close July 3, so register early and watch your email for a client-download code. Our step-by-step [Evolution Test sign-up guide](/guides/evolution-test-sign-up/) walks through it.

## What to expect

Betas exist to test balance and systems, so treat this as a chance to scout the roster before launch rather than to build permanent progress. Our [Anima dex](/anima/) and [Eidos database](/eidos/) update as kits and characters are revealed. Since the test ends in a wipe, it is also worth lining up [something to play alongside it](/news/gacha-games-to-play-alongside-evolution-test/).
